depends on where Grub is installed and what you
intend to do with it.

1. Grub in master-boot record & you want to use
    MS-Wondows or similar:

Boot from a DOS-rescue floppy and then do a

    fdisk /mbr

(no drive letter, restores the MS master boot record.

2. Grub in the (only) active primary partition (DOS in
another primary partition):

Boot from a DOS-rescue floppy and then run fdisk to
make the other primary partition active.

3. Switch to another boot loader/manager
e.g. LiLo (why) or XFDISK or OS/2 - partition magic
bootmanager or (you name it):

please consult the relevant documentation

Citing from the grub FAQs:

There is no concept uninstall in boot loaders, because
if you uninstall a boot loader, an unbootable machine
would simply remain. So all you need to do is
overwrite another boot loader you like to your disk,
that is, install the boot loader without uninstalling GRUB.

For example, if you want to install the boot loader for Windows,
just run FDISK /MBR on Windows. If you want to install LILO ,
run /sbin/lilo on GNU/Linux.
