No, there is no problem with anonymous cvs. Please follow the link on
"developer resources" (IIRC) on the gnu site for the explanations. the
following commands are sufficient :

cvs -d :pserver:address@hidden:/cvs login
[enter as password]
cvs -d :pserver:address@hidden:/cvs checkout grub

cvs -d :pserver:address@hidden:/cvs logout
