serial console

hi :)

i have a machine with a serial console which has to boot unattended.

as i sometimes add a vga-console for diagnostic purposes, i tried to
enable both vga & serial console support in grub via
'terminal serial console' command.

stage2 asked for a keypress on both consoles
the timeout parameter was not honoured here :(

my suggestion:
with both consoles enabled, print a message like:

--
Booting '<insert default boot entry name here>' in X seconds...
Press ENTER to boot immediately, any other key for menu/console.
--

when no key is pressed, grub should use the first configured console
as system console, and boot the default entry

when a key is pressed, that console is selected, and the menu /
command line is displayed.

i changed the command to 'terminal serial', but for some reason,
it still wanted a keypress...
perhaps i did something wrong, or is this a bug?

thanks for your help :)

PS: please CC replys to me, thanks.
