In my opinion, this suggestion is not a good direction to go.  Recall the
advantages of the Unix filter model.

And zsoelim already exists.  Why reinvent the wheel?

I don't intend to work on this, but I'm not quite prepared to reject it
outright; setting to "Postponed".
