Right, it's an edge case.

True, if the framework requires a new stub in the manual, I agree it's a bad
design.  I presumed (though didn't explain this is what I meant) there's a way
to create a generic "This node no longer exists" page on the web site that all
those links could redirect to, without having to alter the manual.  But yeah,
the "problem" is only worth solving if the solution is trivial.
