Follow-up Comment #17:
As comment #13 indicates, this bug is not confined to -me's .(b blocks, or to
the -me macros at all. Updating fields accordingly.
Preceding the .ne with a .br (a practice Branden recommends in bug #64207) in
each of the comment #13 examples has no effect.
