Update of bug #55300 (project groff):
Status: Need Info => Duplicate
Open/Closed: Open => Closed
Summary: configure script tells users to look for URW fonts
at dead URL and doesn't say why they'd want 'em => configure script tells
users to look for URW fonts at dead URL

Follow-up Comment #4:
Narrowing scope to just the URL issue and treating as a duplicate of bug
#60604 (which was filed later).
I also re-validated the URLs in the current configuration notice this week.
Never heard from back from the submitter regarding my query.
At the same time, the issues of gropdf's dependencies have been worked on
extensively since the last time this bug saw traffic.
* groff's Autoconf checks for Ghostscript and the availability of URW Type 1
fonts have been improved.
* The messages omitted at configuration time when either of these is missing
have been recast to describe the consequences of their absence more clearly.
* The INSTALL.extra file in the distribution archive also discusses the URW
fonts and why groff wants them.
Bug #63808 has more on this subject.
