Follow-up Comment #46, bug #63808 (project groff):

[comment #44 comment #44:]
> Many thanks for the typescript. It looks like a successful groff build, make
succeeded and make check successfully reported that ghostscript fonts were not
found. Can you tell whether the groff-man-pages.pdf was Ok, apart from the
missing fonts.

Seems fine to me. I usually check 3 man pages:

grops(1), to see if the typefaces list serves as a demonstration of the fonts
named;
gropdf(1), for the same reason;
groff_char(7), to see if there are any _unexpected_ gaps in the glyph list.
(The ones we always warn about, like lunate epison, and the dotless j, which
I'd like us to have fallbacks for, are expected.)

Let me see if Savannah will let me attach the PDF. It is interesting to me
that it is about the same size without _any_ embedded fonts, but also without
compression--

/export/home/gbranden/groff-1.23.0.rc3-sol10/gropdf: warning: Perl module
'Compress::Zlib' not available; cannot compress this PDF

--as it is with all the fonts found and embedded.
