Run SIMH in a terminal window with enough scrollback and you could just copy
and paste the entire ditroff output to wherever you wanted. 

I've an even better idea: implement a driver for SIMH's PDP-11 emulator that
advertises itself as a connected C/A/T device. It's possible to emulate
paper-tape rolls and even Ethernet adapters for a SIMH client, but that's well
above my paygrade:

I imagine most of the terminology in this document is less opaque to you than
it is to me (Hell, I can barely write a C program to save my life). In any
case, if you still want a non-JS implementation of cat2dit, the source I got
it from was a C header file with all the macros provided and ready to go
