URL: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?61279> Summary: [man] section heading font remapping can affect headers/footers Project: GNU troff Submitted by: gbranden Submitted on: Mon 04 Oct 2021 02:33:10 PM UTC Category: Macro - man Severity: 3 - Normal Item Group: Incorrect behaviour Status: In Progress Privacy: Public Assigned to: gbranden Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Planned Release: None _______________________________________________________ Details: The font-remapping-for-(sub)section headings feature I added in May of this year led to remapping of italic fonts when they were used in header/footer text if the previous page ended at a (sub)section heading boundary that .ne-eded more vertical space than remained on the page. The remapping was thus in effect for `tl` requests when it was not intended to be. Reproducer: INPUT='.TH \\fIfoo\\fP 1 2021-10-04 "groff test suite" .SH Name foo \\- a command with a very short name .sp 50v .SH "\\fIgroff\\fP integration" A complicated situation.' OUTPUT=$(echo "$INPUT" | "$groff" -Tascii -man -rcR=0) _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?61279> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
