Mac OS X 10.5 PPC build report

Hi. I successfully build 2.6.3 on a PPC Mac:

$ uname -a

$ gcc -v

gcc version 4.0.1 (Apple Inc. build 5465)

make check runs ok but skips a few tests.

Bootstrapping from git is a different story. I'll send more mail about
that later if/when I get it to work.
