Maybe it would be worth adding a sentence about that reasoning (just
the "the FSF's lawyers think this is the safest practice" bit)? It
might help stop the quibbling. Jim think's it's ugly, I think it's
ugly, but until it's no longer in the GNU Coding Standards we might as
well stick to it to avoid this sort of waste of time.
