Am I reading this correctly?  Are you, very gently, offering your 
help, Claudio?  Seeing that you now have an address @gnu.org, all 
it takes is an okay from Stepan to give you commit access to grep's 
repository, no?

Indeed, getting the ball rolling is the only thing now.

Yes, merging in current translations should be done first of all.

The changes in coloring stuff aren't documented yet, so Charles' 
consolidated document patch should go in too, with some tweaks.
