Okay, thanks.  But I'm not that confident.  :)  It would really be
better if a second pair of eyes looked at the bug report and at my
answer, and for them to close it when they agree with me.

Ah, neither of you have privileges in Savannah for Grep. It would be good to get you two registered as project members, and get at least a couple of us administrator privileges so that we can add new members etc. At present, I think only Stepan or Bero or a higher-level admin can do that.
