Can you check whether the current CVS version of Emacs' grep.el
<http://savannah.gnu.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs/emacs/emacs/lisp/progmodes/grep.el>
already does what you want? Its elisp code for grep-highlight-matches and
grep-regexp-alist is already able to pick up on GNU grep's --color markers to
zero in on matches. In case the latest grep.el doesn't already jump to
matches, can it be modified to do so using these abilities it already has,
without requiring anything new from GNU grep?
