The mb_cache thing was a hack to make grep fast. Use the current FC3
update package (or even better, the current Fedora development
package) for a better solution. A lot of the code has changed (mostly
removing the mb_cache bits).
The patches I hope will be integrated into GNU grep are the ones in
the Fedora development grep RPM package.
