Don't be scared, this is not that it doesn't exit, it's just extremelly
slow.  (You can shorten the regex to use less then 9 backrefs and observe
thow the time grows exponentially.)

As soon as you use a non-C locale, you have to use the new regex from
glibc.

Yes, it's possible that it has older version of glibc.

We didn't wan't to give the false impression that the included regex is
better by a skewed test suite.
