Not quite right.  The syntax is "--color[=WHEN]" and if you use the optional 
"=WHEN" part then WHEN cannot be empty.  If you don't use the optional "=WHEN" 
part then the definition of "WHEN" is irrelevant.  Tony's suggestion is good.
