Hi,
the CVS contains a subdirectory bootstrap/ .
I don't think I want to take care of it. I'm not sure how it should
be done either.
Another issue: grep contains file grep.spec. I don't want to keep that
either. When I administered Red Hat servers, I trusted _their_ spec
file much more than the spec files included in a package.
It sometimes makes sense to keep rpm spec file, SuSE spec file, debian
meta info (what's their name for it?), *BSD ports makefile, desc file
for ROCK GNU/Linux, etc. to help users to build on these platforms.
But as GNU grep is part of all these distributions, I don't think I
should waste my time trying to maintain that, even if the support from
the developers of the distributions was ideal.
Regards,
Stepan
