Hallo!

I tried to compile Icecat 31.8.0 on Debian 8 and this worked. So we can
conclude:

Icecat 31.8.0 on Debian 7: O.K.
Icecat 31.8.0 on Debian 8: O.K.
Icecat 38.4.0 on Debian 7: O.K.
Icecat 38.4.0 on Debian 8: Failed

Did anyone have success in creating Debian packages of Icecat 38.4.0 on
Debian Jessie? Does anyone have an idea what could be the reason it does
not work for me?

What does for example
"/tmp/compile/icecat-38.4.0/src/config/recurse.mk:36: recipe for target
'compile' failed" mean? That there is somehow an error on line 36 of the
mentioned file? Or does it mean anything else? Are there any further
logfiles created which I could check?

Dimitris
