Yes, since Google is a) proprietary and b) encourages use of non-free software,
such as Google Earth and Chrome. Not to mention privacy concerns.

The DDG code that is available is mostly under a BSD-style license.

Some of Github's code is available ( https://github.com/github ) under a
BSD-style license. But yeah, it's mostly non-free. :p
