Silly Q: how does one install it?

Ah, I'm asking this on behalf of a non-tech friend.  yeh.

When my friend (who uses "ciaran" as his user name) downloaded
icecat-3.0.3-g1 and untarred it, he couldn't find any hints about how to
actually install it.  The README.txt didn't help either.  Can someone point
him in the right direction?  Thanks.
