I also see that behaviour:
http://spaces.live.com/ works fine in firefox 2.0.0.1 from mozilla:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061208
Firefox/2.0.0.1
but it does work with iceweasel 2.0.0.3 from debian:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070310
Iceweasel/2.0.0.3 (Debian-2.0.0.3-1)
If I go to tools -> page info, I see that page type is
application/xhtml+xml in iceweasel, and text/html in firefox.
When I look at http headers with wget, wget tells me content-type is
application/xhtml+xml
So, it seems that spaces.live.com is sent as xml, but firefox (mozilla
version) displays that page as html. Therefore, it ignores bad formed
xml errors, and page can be renderede. Iceweasel does not behave the
same.
