In July 2008, the only reply to your request said "Please fill a bugzilla
PR so that it is not lost." [1] You did that in December 2008 [2]. But nothing
happened since then.
Maybe you can speed up the process by proposing a patch. (Look for
warn_missing_field_initializers in gcc/c-typeck.c.)
