Indeed! Thanks for pointing this out.
This weakens my previous arguments.
No, it doesn't. You cannot do many things in a web browser, for
example, you cannot use M-x occur to see how often something was
changed, or just to group changes related to a single file. I do not
know of a web browser that allows regexp in the search field, which is
immensly useful. Then there is narrowing and widening, etc etc.
Then there is the question of having to be hooked up to a network if
you wish to access this information using a very poor interface.
