Duplication of the `-' flag should not > disable it. In some defense of HP-UX 10.20 it was released IIRC in 1996 which was well before this last round of C99/POSIX. Support for it has long ended. I am not surprised it didn't conform to a standard which didn't exist when it was released. :-) Bob
