In some cases yes, in some cases no. For example, memmove deals with
bytes, not characters. I don't see the advantage of departing from
the POSIX-standard terminology "null byte" here, in contexts where
primitives are dealing with bytes and not characters. But it's not a
big deal either way, of course.
