But as I understand it, there's already code in "configure" to address
that problem, right after the message "checking for one-argument
getmntent function". That check should have succeeded, but it failed.
Then "configure" went off into never-never-land, ending up in the spot
that you patched.
We need to find out why the "checking for one-argument getmntent
function" failed. We shouldn't need to worry about the later code,
which shouldn't be exercised at all on an HP-UX box.
