I want to make sure I'm not saying anything different than is actually
happening in reality. I would love to see all of our changes wind up
back in glibc.

We haven't got any Official Policy(tm) yet for gnulib and merging back
into glibc. I came up with the idea for gnulib because 1) There was no
good central source for the files I needed in lib/ in my projects. 2)
Glibc source files rarely worked without a fair amount of work the
separate them out 3) libiberty wasn't willing to be hosted in a separate
repository 4) libit (by François Pinard) wasn't willing to live in GNU
CVS. So nothing in there established any sort of relationship back to
glibc.

What do other folks on bug-gnulib think is best?
