[open-cobol-list] failed tests from make check

I just installed opencobol on a Fedora 2 system, and got the attached when I ran "make check". The problems were with a first read on an empty sequential file and SORT on a nonexistent file.

It compiles the hello.cob example, but when I did ./hello it couldn't find the library until I did

ln -s /usr/local/lib/libcob.so.1.0.0 /usr/lib/libcob.so.1

I'm just learning cobol, but I'm fairly familiar with c (from classes and class projects) and wouldn't mind helping out if somebody can point me in the right direction.

Best wishes for the new year!
