If you are running windows I have made available a copy of the original
mec program as found @ http://www.bkgm.com/articles/Thornberg/mec.c

There is a version of mec.c within gnubg based on the original. The
program is pretty much the same except the defaults are different if run
with no parameters. The GNUGB version is here:

If you wanted to build your own you'd need a gcc compiler and the mec.c
file and then you build it with somwthing like:

gcc mec.c -DMEC_STANDALONE -o mec

That creates an executable called mec.

Now to use the program is pretty simple. Open up a command prompt and do
something like:

cd \path\to\mec-ct
mec 9 .26 .5

First parameter is the match length to be used to generate the table
Second parameter is gammon rates (.26= 26%)
Third parameter is the % of game that the favorite wins (.5 = 50%).
