What's wrong with doing it all at once? It will prevent errors from
wrong settings for indent.

When you do it module by module, it can happen that somebody /thinks/ a
file has to be edited, reformats it, commits it, and then realizes that
the file doesn't have to be changed.  Then you can just as well commit
all reformatting at once.
