I would agree with you about not being straight forward. The one thing that both the other poster and myself think Is intuitive is a button or option on the manual dice screen that allows it to be cleared there. That’s the first place I actually looked. So keep it as,  but also place something on that screen to allow for it there as well. That’s my 2 cents worth :)
