One way this can be reproduced is this - Using a resolution of 1024x768,
Using KDE go to control center/select appearances and themes, and set "Force
fonts DPI" to 120. I get output that pretty much resembles the screenshot.
I assume if you use gnome or any other window system and set fonts to be a
fixed 120DPI on a resolution of 1024x768 you'll get the same effect.
