The daily snapshot script is fine, but unless one is following daily
snapshots closely, it's never clear what date to grab for a stable release
that's supportable for a while.  It would be great if at some point when
the tree is generally working and there are no big changes in progress you
could declare the tree at that point to be a particular version number and
upload a regular distribution tarball.

I'm managing with the snapshot releases for Debian, and they've really
been quite stable, but it's a bit odd to always go from snapshot to
snapshot without a regular versioned release.
