Ok, I'll give it a try without taking a look at any gnubg analysis.

A few general considerations to the position:
- o has three nearly dead checkers on his 2- and 1-point.
- besides his 8-point o has a ultimate stripped position and will most
likely leave shots within the next 3 or 4 rolls
- getting hit is obviously not decisive

- x has too many spare checkers on point 20/21 and will loose
flexibility if only te checkers on the 15-point can move freely.
- x first goal should be getting more control of both outfields before
he hits a potential blot of o.
- x should not consider covering the blot on his 5-point in the near
  future

My first choice would be something like 20/14(3), 21/15 to switch some
spares into o's outfield. In general I'd strive for a classical prime vs
prime position (as x), because of the three dead checker of o.

x should not hit the checker on the 22-point. That checker is badly
placed at least for now. I'd either make the 12-point (17/12, 5/4) and
wait for the remaining checker coming nearer to home or move 12/6.

Ciao
