A good place to ask question/report bugs is the gnubg mailing list.
You can get in touch with the developers and many users, receive
mails when new versions are available and so on. Visit this site to
subscribe :

      http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-gnubg

There are 2 tutorials that explain many gnubg features :

      http://www.bkgm.com/gnu/AllAboutGNU.html

      http://www.gammonlife.com/gnu/index.htm

Also, on www.gnubg.org, you have wikis for the FAQ and the manual :

Hmm, that's strange : how do you move a chequer ? you just click on
it or you drag-and-drop it ? If you just click, the left button will
move with the higher dice, the right with the lower(e.g. if you roll
4-2, left-click will play 4, right-click will play 2).
