PLEASE READ!
Joseph has commited his smaller pruning neural nets to the main part of
GNU Backgammon! That's good news. Really good news!
If you use Windows as you operating system, and want to try this, you
should try it from http://www.gnubg.org/index.php?itemid=28
If you want to try it you *must* first get and install the installation
here: http://www.gnubg.org/downloadwin.php
Don't try with one of my old packages, because that won't work!
You *should* install the prune neural net archive into the same
directory. Some files in your install directory will be overwritten.
These files are: gnubg.exe, gnubg-no-gui.exe and gnubg.wd. It can be
smart to backup these files.
You can also read the article I just wrote about this fantastic
improvment to GNU Backgammon. http://www.gnubg.org/index.php?itemid=28
Note the buttom line warning!
Good Luck!
-Øystein
PS: Rolf, amarganth, you should get this build, since the python module
contains the two new methods: gnubg.cfevaluate() and gnubg.findbestmove()
