Hi!  I have not had the experience you describe and have been playing the
GNU backgammon program almost daily for over a year.  It is the FINEST
backgammon program available in my opinion.  How many games did you play
before reaching your stated conclusion?  There is a feature, under Settings
/ Options / Dice, where dice manipulation is possible.  But that's not the
case here, right?  You are either joking or more likely simply need to play
more games.  Trust me, the dice will "shake out" accurate probabilities and
"Lady Luck" will smile on you fairly.
