[Bug-gnubg] gtkextra-2 / MET

I happened to build gnubg with gtkextra-2 for the first time. I know
that it is limited to the spreadsheets on the MET viewer.

Anyone tried to scroll around the MET table with gtkarea-2 enabled in a
money session or view the MET table when no match is in progress

On my 2ghz linux box It takes a while to render the 64x64 table (But It
doesn't hang, just is unbearable to SCROLL).

I think Nardy had worked in this area. I tried the gtkarea-2 test
program for the spreadsheet control and it was large and fast (No
scrolling issue)

Any reasons that this just isn't ripped out? (Seems the way it is
displayed without gtkarea-2 is sufficient enough). I seem to recall
Nardy saying that it was the only place it was used, and that he was
considering using it elsewhere (But was undecided whether he actually
would use them)

If it were me, I'd consider removing it from the tree :) but thats just
me. If we keep it in then there is something that needs fixing. I didn't
look at the code but It almost seems like that when scrolling the entire
spreadhseet is being regenerated (about 4000 cells)?
