AFAIK it's still work in progress. In future this shall be a
measurement for estimating how long certain rollouts will last.
I.e. this notebook p4, 2.4 ghz, 512 mb RAM, gnubg compiled with '-O2',
shows round about 23500 static evaluations/second. My home pc
shows (athlon 2200+, 512 mb RAM) 18500.
When you search in the bug-gnubg archiv, you will find even more
numbers.
