Hi,

imho the board size should be reverted to its old aspect ratio.

I must have missed this: has the ratio changed?

Yes. the aspect rato is now 108 x 82. This is to make it fit better in the integrated gui. The shape is also closer to the shape of the 3D board. Also this new shape look closer to a real board. I have never seen a real board that's only 11 chequer wide across. Even the narrow Plaspel boards is wider then 11 chequers.

It looked better, the chequer animation now looks a bit cumbersome and most of all it broke a lot of things:

I agree that the animation looks a bit cumbersome, but I think the new shape looks better.

Yes, changing the aspect ratio has wide implications throught out the
source: gtkboard.c, htmlimages, and export.c

I think mose things are taken care of, except for the html images export.

Especially the html images are very sensiticve because some extra pixels
are added vertically to separate the dice from the points (otherwise
they overlap making it impossible to generate indepedent images for the
dice and points).

The html image export is broken (sorry for stating some time ago that it worked, I only looked whether the files were generated), the sensitive area for the dice is not where it should be, the problems with the dynamic board numbers, the disappearing chequers in edit mode.

All this is issues that O stated in the mail when I commeted the code.

Aha, so this is where all these problems comes from!

Yes, sorry if I wasn't clear enough.

I like the new shape, but there should be some fixes to the animation and the dynamic labels.
