I think it's the other way around. I think it would be ridiculous to
save *all* match scores. The two professional players I am friends with,
plus my actual teacher, Tom Suzanski have all said the same thing: to
reach top perfomrance one MUST know all the subtleties of the 5-point
match. The cube subtleties and the checker play. They all (I'm really
not exagerrating, but feel free to consult another pro) said the further
one gets, the less urgent, but those scores are absolutely crucial. In
fact Kit Woolsey published an article saying the exact same thing in
which he detailed a brief summary of those subtleties.
