Nope, I'm a Luddite of very long standing. I run X because it allows
me to have lots and lots of text windows for compiling, editing,
network monitoring, etc. I have no desktop icons except the page which
allows me to select which of 12 desktops I'm currently working on. I
only use the mouse for web browsing, gnubg and cut&paste editing. I'm
definitely not one to ask about GUI design, as my initial response is
"don't use a gui, I can't hook it to perl/awk/sed/make or any other
useful tool"
