You mean breaking the move list into two lines?

I have a buggy code which does that. It uses GtkList instead of GtkCList, but I 
left the project before it was debugged. Can someone else make an attempt to 
fix this?

Another problem is that GtkList is deprecated in GTK+2, so we need to write the 
list code twice. One with GtkList for GTK+ 1.x and another with GtkTree for 
GTK+ 2.x. (I still think it's worth it.
