I've compiled gnubg-multi with both GTK+ 1.3 and 2.2.2. So with 2.2.2 there shouldn't be many changes to Olivier's original version. Btw, here on a P4 1700 GTK+ 2.2.2 is bearable, but I haven't tried it at home yet (P1 233).

When I started developing the GUI for multiprocessing, I wasn't aware of the fact that I should have sticked to GTK+1.3 for Windows users; I'll port all GTK+2.2-specific features back to GTK+1.3 (mainly, I think, using clist_xxx instead of TreeStore to display list widgets)
Are you saying we're not using GTK+2.2 on Windows because it's too slow?

I hope you do this under some ifdef. I think clist_xxxx is deprecated in 2.2, so when the time comes to move everyone away from 1.2/1.3 we will have to do it all over again.

How is actually the procedure to set up 2 machines (as host and slave, respectively)? Any order to follow?

Yes, any order will do.
