Attached are the matches so that any may see them. Many thanks to Tony Lezard for his program that made the match-up possible, and of course a huge congratulations to the GNU team. Can someone help me to calculate the std. deviation, please![snip]Jørn_______________________ / 2 2 / nSUM(x ) - [SUM(x)] STDEV = V --------------------- n(n-1) with 56 and 44: STDEV=8.485281374
This is not what I was about to type. std.dev = sqrt( n * p * q ) p = Estimated probability of GNU winning based on the trials. q = 1 - p n = number of trials. std.dev = sqrt( 100 * 0.56 * 0.44) = 4.964 -Øystein
