Hi Frank,

I'll just answer a few questions quickly.

The MWC against current opponent is calculated as:

50 - Total MWC given up by you + total mwc given up by opponent

(negative numbers are reported as 0, and numbers above 100 are reported
as 100).

Export to PDF, TeX, PostScript and EPS needs update to match the export
to html and text. This is on the TODO list, but nobody is working on it.

I'll add this to the todo list.

You can use gnubg-no-gui.exe for this purpose. You can construct command
inputs like:

set confirm save off
set confirm new off
set priority idle
load match blah-blah.sgf
analyse match
save match blah-blah.sgf
import sgg blah.sgg
analyse match
save match blah.sgf
...

I'll add this to the todo list.

The GUI uses a slight different copy'n'paste scheme than windows
normally does.

Primary selection is the area selected (e.g., some moves in a
hint-dialog or some lines in the match statistics).

Under linux or unix you can paste this with a middle mouse button click.
I don't think this is possible under windows.

CLicking Edit->Copy will move the selection from the primary selection
to the clipboard selection, so the selection will be available for paste
with Ctrl+V from other applications. However, I've added a explicit Copy
button on must dialogs, so the Edit->Copy is somewhat redundant.

For reference, the command executed on Edit->Copy is "xcopy".

We use a general framework called gettext for internatiol.. oh crap, I
can't spell it: translating gnubg. So far you can get a almost complete
translation to Japanese, and two half-finished translations to German
and Danish. The executable gnubg.exe is the same for any translation:
some special files with the translations are provided which are loaded a
run time. However, I'm not sure that the current gnubg.exe is compiled
with support for gettext!?

Achim Mueller is coordinating the work on the German translation. You
should contact him if you wish to work on it.

> 7. Could a "Position"-dialog be implemented in the "File-New"-menue?

This is the feature must frequently suggested, but it's not implemented
yet....

> 10. Could you implement a "Restore counter on takeback"

Unfortunately this is not possible with many of the PRNGs provided with
gnubg, since many of these do not have a counter we can modify. We would
have to implement the counter ourselves, and implement a "takeback" as
setting the seed and call the PRNG "counter minus one" times.

Also, you can click any move in the move list and play from there. I
think it would require some very complicated logic to maintain such a
counter.

I'll add it to the TODO list.
