This problem happened again tonight, and the endless loop
writing to the DOS text file is so resource intensive that
it takes forever for the computer to respond to any other
program. This time I can't export the game, nor continue
playing it as the display has gone completely haywire -- no
tool bar, no menu, half the board gone, bottom is fuzzy,
etc., etc., etc. It's not possible to minimize the DOS
window and continue playing.

Additionally, when the hint window opens, multiple lines
are selected, and one or more will be red as if I've
already made a move, but I haven't.

There may be more messages in the text file, but these are
all I've been able to capture.

(gnubg.exe:4294276633): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file
gtkimage-win32.c: line 235 (gtk_image_put_pixel): assertion
'image != NULL' failed

(gnubg.exe:4294276633): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkpixmap.c:
line 97 (gtk_pixmap_new): assertion 'val != NULL' failed

(gnubg.exe:4294276633): Gtk-WARNING **: invalid cast from
(NULL) pointer to 'GtkMisc'

(gnubg.exe:4294276633): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkmisc.c:
line 203 (gtk_misc_set_padding): assertion 'misc != NULL'
failed

(gnubg.exe:4294276633): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkbox.c:
line 331 (gtk_box_pack_start): assertion 'child != NULL'
failed
