Thanks for your feedback.

You can solve problem your problem by selecting "Settings->Options..." and
then on the "Game" tab encheck the selction called "Allow dragging to
illegal points".

(If you have a build earlier than 16. January, this selection can be found
under "Settings->Appearence..." and then on the "General" tab. Hope this
solves your problem.)

BTW: It's not a demo version.
